Description
This is the web framework of Literary Treasures of Kalidasa.
Below are the following which contains:1.Kumarasambhavam, one of Kalidasa’s Pancha-Mahakavyas, tells of Parvati, Shiva, and the birth of Kumara.
Smt. P. R. Gayathri explains Sarga 1 in Tamil with insights from Narayana Pandita’s commentary.
2. Malavikagnimitram, a five-act drama by Kalidasa, portrays the love story of Agnimitra and Malavika.
This offers a detailed explanation of the play in Tamil.
3. Poorvamegha (Part 1 of Meghaduta) – Kalidasa’s yaksha guides a cloud from Ramagiri to Alaka. Explained in Tamil by Smt. Visalakshi Sankaran.
This section has 66 verses filled with vivid and poetic descriptions.
4. Uttaramegha (Part 2 of Meghaduta) – The yaksha describes Alaka, his beloved wife, and the message to be delivered. Explained in Tamil by Smt. Visalakshi Sankaran.
This section has 55 verses rich in emotion and imagery.

5. Abhijnanashakuntalam – Kalidasa’s world-renowned play, celebrated as the most enchanting of dramas. In these lectures, Smt. Visalakshi Sankaran explains its beauty and brilliance in Tamil.

6. Raghuvamsha – Sarga 12 – Kalidasa’s epic on the Raghu dynasty. This sarga narrates the Ramayana story, from Rama’s exile to Ravana’s fall, in 104 verses. Explained in Tamil through audio lectures.
